Managing Partners and Partners are brilliantly qualified and experienced in their chosen profession or service hence their seniority. With that seniority comes the requirement to develop business with existing and new clients and this “Business Development” activity is critical to the relationship with clients and to the revenue generation and profitability of the firm.

However, Business Development often isn’t a primary skill and for many it is something they don’t enjoy doing. What I do is to personally work alongside the Professional, so that they are fully prepared for their client meetings and can therefore adopt a “selling style” approach that feels comfortable and “authentic” but is also persuasive and therefore effective at developing business. Being fully prepared means that meetings that are “general updates” and “catch-ups”
become productive and action focused as well.

For Managing Partners the coaching includes the creation of a Business Development Strategy for the Firm as well as the skills to lead that strategy
across the whole Firm.
